Shanel's Favorite Cake Pops

A couple weeks ago we decided to buy a cake pop maker because Shanel is IN LOVE w/ the Birthday CakePops from Starbucks. We quickly realized this cake pop maker will not make nearly the same kind of cakepops that she would like. We came across a blog (and I immediatly pinned the blog)on how to make cake pops from baking a cake!
Eat your heart out starbucks its a cakepop tutorial! Its exactly what we are looking for and you can freeze the cakepops too =) No need for that fancy cake pop maker!

It was a Hot day August 20th 2011. Around 85 out. The plan for your party was to have it in "The party Room" at Latins cider mill. I didn't realize the "party room" was a green house (literally). So as I was setting up the decorations and setting stuff out I quickly realized it was going to be WAY too hot inside that room to do anything. Candy was melting, Cake was melting and mom was melting too ;) Papa had the brilliant Idea of moving the tables outside and we did the best we could to decorate. You had 3 pinatas, the candy buffet was appropriately named "The candy coral" The drinks in the coolers were "the watering hole" Your cake and cupcakes were made by Wagners bakery in Olympia.

3rd birthday (FROM AUGUST)

Shanel's Favorite Banana Bread

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp Vanilla extract
4/5 small-med. sized mashed overripe bananas

Directions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

2.In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas,cinnomon and vanilla until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.

3.Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, untill center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

I can not believe How quickly Shanel is growing!
